One School Photography
The 'One School Photography’ Goa campus sits on a half acre, serene site with tall coconut and mango trees. The spatial planning ensued working around the existing trees and creating intimate courtyards interspersed between studio and classroom spaces in the design process.
Photography studios often require white monotone schemes with heightened volumes to ensure viable shooting conditions. In lieu of this, the structures were reinforced with lightweight trusses offering a clear height of 12 feet within the studios.
The site has an existing cottage built in laterite that has been refurbished with glass screens for it to function as a gallery for visitors.
All structures on the campus are metal fabricated with pitched roofs that ensure fast construction and versatility.
The overall appeal of the campus is envisaged as an Industrial-chic building that has predominantly monotone facades.
Corrugated sheets and cement boards formed the internal walls with sandwiched glass wool insulation to protect the interiors. Columns are flushed within these walls for column free studio spaces.

The roofing structure was a prefabricated mild steel grid to suit the versatility and volume of the photography studios. A lot of lighting components were suspended from these rafters.
Being a photography school, the corridor takes you on a visual journey across different moments within the campus stimulated by empaneled photographs and album covers that depict a story.
